My favourite part of the Barbie dream house is the elevators. I like how the house opens - but the doors sometimes fall off. The little food is so cute.

I LOVE the dreamhouse, I want to move in! My Barbies can have a shower and sing in the mirror while they dry their hair! They have friends over for a playdate and sit by the fire and the tv then eat some popcorn before going to bed. I like that they can ride up the elevator because there are no stairs. The oven light comes on too when they bake!

Fairly large Barbie house, which can be closed a bit smaller in the middle. Some sound functions (toilet flushing, someone singing in shower, hairdryer) - this is a big hit with my daughter (F5). Minimal furniture included, accessories included as well - but no dolls. Assembly was horrible, took me over an hour. Bad instructions, was not able to set up the main elevator. Poor quality, not sturdy. Some of the plastic pieces do not fit in well into each other and I have some side walls holding with tape where they keep popping off. The shower door does not close properly and is crooked. My daughter has enjoyed it for the glam look and the special sounds and enjoys playing with it - but plays with it less than with her wooden one.

This Barbie Dream house is fun for Zahra (6) but isn't as good of an investment as our wooden dollhouse. This one has more a more glamorous feel but isn't sturdy at all. The doors come off and need reattaching, left wall of bathroom isn't sturdy and stove door won't stay shut. I would suggest this version for an older girl who is more independent and into a Barbie glam phase. Barbie furniture is boxy and simple- nothing extraordinary. It comes with a nice array of accessories but they were tiny and hard to keep track of. Parents: leave lots of time for assembly and sticker placement. Best part is dumb waiter and elevator. We chose not to put batteries in as an educator I despise toys with sound effects - it takes away from her pretend play. She has enough toys with buttons- I'd rather her play and make her own sound effects.

I really like that the dreamhouse can expand a bit and push back together to store more compact. My daughters (F3, F5) love that the house opens to make the playing space bigger. They can slide it open and closed themselves. There are so many accessories that come with the house! The elevator works great and the sound effect buttons on the doorbell, toilet, hair dryer work very easily. They play with the house daily and dance along to Barbie's song as she hums in the bathroom. The Raquel and Ken dolls don't interact specifically with the house, but their phrases along with the sound buttons make for a very busy play time! Their excitement for the Dreamhouse was maintained during the testing period and their play only increased the more they used the house.
