Play Tested Review
Scatter the metallic fish on the floor, then use the yoyo-like magnetic ‘hook’ to catch them. Create whatever games you want using these write and erase fish.
WHAT THE KIDS SAY
I like that we get to draw on them and fish them out. People get to write numbers on it and you want to fish the right answer. You can do math or words.
WHAT ADULTS THINK
It was fun because my kids liked pretending to fish. The fishing rod was very cute and easy for little hands to hold. My youngest (F4) played with it on an easy level of just trying to get the magnet on the fish. F6 was able to play with the string extended and wrote on the fish to create a game involving numbers or letters. There is room to grow with this toy as the fish can be written on, cleaned off, and written on again. The fishing rod is easy to hold. Good for fine motor control and gross motor arm control. Could be used for reinforcing number or letter recognition and math skills.
Push and hold down trigger to pull out string. Release trigger to hold string in place at desired length. Press trigger to retract the worm magnet and haul in your answers: press hard to retract up fast, press softly to retract up slow. Pick up a maximum of 4 fish cards at one time - 3rd and 4th fish are more difficult for beginners. Helps improve math, spelling, memory, and fine motor skills. Caution: Strong magnet. Adult supervision advised. Magnets can cause fatal injury if swallowed.
