Product Reviews

A great little colour matching game with enough extra twists to make it fun for older preschoolers. Each player has a colour-gridded dance floor and takes turns picking a card, and then following the instructions - typically putting dogs on the dance floor or retiring them to the Nap Shack. We love that the game keeps kids active by encouraging them to do a happy dance every time they add a pup to their dance floor. Sometimes you get a second dog to give to the player with the fewest dogs. Other times, you get to ask another player to give you one of their dogs. Dancing dogs stand on two different colour squares, doubling the chance that one of those colours will match the blanket on a Siesta Time card. Picking a Siesta Time card sends all dogs standing on the colour matching the blanket to the Nap Shack for a little sleep - your dogs, as well as, all the other player's dogs standing on that colour. If you're lucky, you'll pick one of a Nap Shack cards to wake and adopt all the sleeping dogs.

Manufacturer Description

The Game of Dancing Doggies.Jump, jive, and wag your tail! Draw cards to get these peppy perritos to join your doggy dance-a-thon. Paw away another player's pups with some fetching food, but watch out for “siesta” cards that will send your dog-tired dancers straight to the Nap Shack! End the party with the most Chihuahuas on your dance floor and you're the cha-cha-champ! We love games that promote silliness. And what could be sillier than a pack of Chihuahuas that love to dance the Cha-Cha?! Inventors Rosie and Josh Roberson were inspired by their own dancing Chihuahua, Piccolo, to create this wonderfully whimsical game that helps pre-school children to hone color identification, as well as fine and gross motor skills.
