The Pictures version is based on the same premise as the original Codenames game, but uses images, rather than words to represent the 5 x 5 grid of spies (and the assassin). The Spymaster for each team is tasked with offering one-word clues to help team mates guess which images reveal their own spies, while not guessing the other teams agents - or worse, the assassin. Ideally the spymaster offers a clue that relates to multiple agents, so the team can successfully ID more than one agent per turn. Lots of fun, with great re-playability.

Manufacturer Description

What are these strange symbols on the map? They code for locations where spies must contact secret agents! Codenames: Pictures differs from the original Codenames in that the agents are no longer represented by a single word, but by an image that contains multiple elements. Two rival spymasters know the agent in each location. They deliver coded messages telling their field operatives where to go for clandestine meetings. Operatives must be clever. A decoding mistake could lead to an unpleasant encounter with an enemy agent – or worse, with the assassin! Both teams race to contact all their agents, but only one team can win.
