WHAT THE KIDS SAY
This book is so much fun. I like to pick out a picture to draw. It makes my pictures look so good.
I like trying to draw the pictures following the steps in the book and seeing how my finished product looked.
I really like how it easily tells you how to draw certain things. I also like that there are a lot of different sections so there are a lot of drawings to learn how to draw. It also comes with a stack of background paper which I used to draw the drawings from the book. I drew some things on the sidewalk with chalk which came out really well. Now I've learnt how to draw a lot of things!
I like drawing and I really liked the ideas shown in this book, they where easy to follow and my results did end up looking like the examples. I liked the scene pages that where included, I used 2 same scene and the first one I did a regular picture and the other one I drew the most outrageous caracters, it was really funny.
I like to draw, but sometimes I can't make my picutre turn out the way I want. The first time I followed these directions I couldn't believe I actually drew a horse and it looked great!
WHAT ADULTS THINK
Victoria (8) loved drawing and colouring in with this book. I think it's a great way to encourage kids to draw and then use their imagination to add to the picture. Book travels well, which is a bonus.
Brooklyn has enjoyed drawing pictures by following the steps in this book. She has been pleased with how her pictures have turned out.
Handy storage book, great tools to teach kids how to draw a large variety of objects. Comes with different background paper so the kids can create a whole scene. Another Klutz favourite!
My kids love to draw and they have a good imagination. This book gave them lots of ideas to copy and not just that, the instructions where very easy to follow, no reading involved. Mia was able to make this whole underwater scene, it was really nice, she was so proud of it. My older daughter is more of an artist and she appreciated this book also, it has a little bit for the beginning artist and also the more experienced ones. The scenery pages where nice and when the kids traced the outline it was hard to tell what they drew what was traced.

Easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions for drawing a bunch of cool characters, objects, and backgrounds. Mix and match them for a conventional scene, or create something no one has ever seen before. Lions in the living room, sharks in outer space, a high-heeled octopus in the countryside. There are tons of things to draw and millions of ways to combine them, so any drawing you create will be uniquely you. The book folds apart to make a Klutz-custom drawing studio and comes with the tools of the trade: a pencil with eraser, a fine-tipped drawing pen, four colored markers, and a 30-page drawing pad with pre-printed backgrounds to get you started.
