EDITOR'S REVIEW

A classic game, re-made for the 3DS.

WHAT THE KIDS SAY

I didn't really like this game very much.  I found it too hard to get through the different levels.

When I first saw the game I though the pictures in the back made the characters look small, so I didn't think I would like playing it.  I saw my big sister playing and I asked her if it was good quality and she said it was awesome, she was right!  I love playing with swords, there are fairies to help you.  I have never played a game where there was a quest before, it is really fun! The pictures are really cool.  There are flaming sticks and slingshots and grenades that slow down the enemy.   I played it in 2D at the beginning cause the 3D hurt my eyes, but the more I played it I got used to the 3D more and it was not so bad after a while.  I like 3D games much more than 2D now.  This game is epic!

I adore this game!  It's like sci-fi and an adventure.  I love adventures.  It plays very well on the 3DS, when you play in 3D and you walk on flowers, the petals look like they are really flying towards you.  Sometimes it is really funny, for about 99% of the time it's OK but sometimes you are stuck in a room with a monster and you are stuck there, I never figured  how to get out  of there.  I had to continue someone else's game that was further along, I wish I could have figured it out.   I was planning to look it up on the internet but we had to give the game back.  I want Zelda!!!

I have an Ipod to play games with and although I love it, the 3DS game does not compete with it, the games are so different that the 2 together ( the Ipod and the 3DS ) make for a good team...are you getting this mom?

WHAT ADULTS THINK

This game didn't go over all that well.  I do think the age range suggestion of 10+ is accurate. My daughter is 8 and really had a hard time with this game.  She found it difficult to get through the different situations so she didn't try playing it too much.   We also only had the game to test for 1 week.   Usually these types of games take a while to get into.

This was a huge hit with the older kids, and it appealed to both genders (M9 & F11). There is some violence that would not be suitable for younger children. The game takes quite a lot of hand eye coordination, some of the moves are not easy to make.
