This was the best!! I was like a scientist so excited to make them. They are so cute. I love the colours and the shapes that I can make. I really didn't know what bath bombs were until I read about it in the kit. And then I was so impressed at how easy it is to make them. And you really don't need much to make them. I never knew. I was really impressed how you can use baking soda to make this. But it takes a few days to make and I was anxious about them because I wasn't sure I really was able to make them. I thought maybe I made a mistake. Also I got paint on my clothes - I should have known to wear my working clothes. They look pretty in a clear glass jar. I am not ready to use them and not sure if they will stain the bath tub!! But it was worth it.

This was fun. The instructions were not always very clear, but it was fun and easy to make. The steps were not as clear as they could be and it was messy and stained our hands (but it did disappear after a few days). Also, it look much longer than I thought. When my friend and I made 2 bath bombs, it didn't look like they worked at all. They came out of the mould looking like beach sand and were very squishy. But then, the next day they hardened and even more the day after, so I guess it did work! The texture changed too - instead of soft and squishy, they became hard like an actual bath bomb. I didn't think they would work at all, but they did! They did work well in the bath though!! I like the idea of making my own bath bombs. The set comes with most all of the ingredients and cool moulds. But, it does actually take overnight for the bath bombs to set and become hard.

WHAT ADULTS THINK

FUN!!! EXCITING!!! I had a mini scientist in the house who just loved to create her own bubble bomb...an intriguing activity for anyone who loves to experiment. My daughter, 11, just loved mixing and following the recipe of how to get these bath bombs to work. It was easy as the instructions were well illustrated and used simple words to explain. The outcome was perfect. The bombs looked so cute!! Who would want to use them up?? I would recommend it to 8 and up not 6 and up...6 year olds would definitely need a grown up there. Way too young to do this on their own. I don't think the colour dye poses any health issues but for 6 year olds, parents might be a little more hesitant. The stain of the colour sometimes can be annoying.. best to use your art clothing and to cover the sink/table you are working on with a plastic table cloth so that the dyes don't leak on your surface... I didn't want to chance it. Where can I get more coloured baking soda??

LOVE it! I will get to use one next weekend. Peace and quite in my house fro 4 hours - the only downside - the kitchen was a colorful mess:-) But the two girls (11) spend 4 hours mixing, timing, measuring and creating 8 different bath bombs. They were very much into this craft with no interruptions. If they didn't run out of ingredients I think they would have made a 100! Now, their patience is being tested for 4 days while the bombs are cooling down in the fridge:-) Very simple yet so rewarding design. It comes with several molds, glycerin, baking soda in 3 colours and tons of ideas. The box is designed like an illustrated instructions. They are easy to follow and offer tons of creative ideas as well as a guide to mix colours and basic explanation as to why the bombs fiz. It looks great and it smells good. Loved my Smurfy hands after mixing the dolphin mould:-)
