EDITOR'S REVIEW

It was easy to push the tacks into the corkbaord, but our testers still loved using the hammer to bang them in - way more fun. We're impressed by the quality of the cork board which remains in decent shape even after weeks of testing - a few nail holes do show, but the surface is not nearly as unsightly as might be expected aafter so much play. Despite a good selection of pieces, testers did occasionally wish for more, and several families mentioned running out of tacks. But overall, a fabulous set, and so reasonably priced you could easily buy two - especially as you'd then have two picture boards so kids could play side by side. A classic activity made with durable pieces.

WHAT THE KIDS SAY

My favourite part of the toy is the hammer because I love hammering things because I help daddy hammer stuff and I'm really good at it. I can make so many different pictures. I take my time and it's really fun.

I like how you can create your own designs. I don' t play with this very much because I like some of my other creating toys better.

I love to hit nails with a hammer!  I can make a picture or just nail pieces everywhere ( on the board ) There are lots of shapes, I like making an icecream cone

I really like the kit.  There where lots of pieces to choose from, I even wrote my nickname in wooden pieces.  I like that you can be as creative as you want.  you can leave your picture there and the pieces won't fall off by themselves.  I could have used my fingers to push the tacks in but it was more fun using the hammer.

I find her super super super super beautiful!  She has a beautiful dress and shoes, I like her accessories.  The earrings are wonderfull and the shoes really mathc her outffit.  She looks like my aunt Shandell  My doll's name is Artsy...that is a very different name.

I wish I had more dolls that way I could have a fashion show!

I love this toy. It is the best. You get to use a hammer and make beautiful pictures. I always make pictures for my sister and she makes them for me. It is fun to follow the pictures from the paper they gave me. I showed my grandfather and he says i do a beautiful job.

This is a great toy. I like to play with it because I like to hammer in the nails and make great designs. I made a house and other pictures. I really played with it for a long time. It is fun using all the pieces.

I love making pictures on the board. I can use the hammer without hurting myself. You don't have to make the same pictures as what they tell you you know; you can just invent some too. I tried to make a picture with all the pieces but it didn't work because I don't have enough nails. Next i'll make one for Grandma

I can make anything I want and I can do any colour.  I love the hammer, it's so much fun but I can't take it apart so Mommy helps me and then I do another one!

WHAT ADULTS THINK

Overall, this was a great set. Olivia (f5) really got quite a bit of play time out of it. Because she is so used to doing crafts which she can keep and put on the fridge, she kept requesting that we take pictures of her creations and print them for the fridge!

Great activity kit.  The kids used their creativity and got to pound on some nails.  My oldest daughter (11) really enjoyed it, there is something about hitting nails that was relaxing her.  End of the school year stress maybe? anyways, it was a good creative and emotional release for her.  My son (7) loved the whole thing.  There are lots of pieces, the little hammer is not very heavy and by placing the little tack through the hole of the wood, he dide not need to hold it in place when he used the hammer, so he didn't pinch a finger. There where quite a few pictures done and I did not notice the cork breaking away.  there was 1 little hole that was bigger, possibly because instead of removing the piece straight up it was pulled a little sideways.

A great way to add fun to making pictures. I love the shapes you use to make the pictures and the simplisty of the activity. Both my children can't get enough of this game. They are always making different pictures. Too bad there isn't a second board so that 2 players can play with it. Very reasonably priced too.

This toy was an instant hit!  I love how it encourages creativity.  Ava (F3) loved making her own pictures while Blaze (M5) liked to follow the examples provided.  We had cousins play with it (ages 2-6) and everyone really loved it, the parents thought the toy was very unique.  I especially love how everything stores together perfectly to fit back into the box!

Like an arts and crafts project you can do over and over. It kept my otherwise very active son (5) busy for hours. It was perfect for when I needed him to have some quiet time, like before bed. It was a hit every time.
