WHAT THE KIDS SAY
There just isn't much to the game.
The game was really fun and I liked how the code works. I liked examining the back of the safe to see how it worked. I liked how you put all the coins in but only some came out. It was fun that there was a randomness that sometimes there would be a police siren instead of a higher or lower sound. I didn't like that the other person could hear the higher, lower or police siren noises since that would give them hints about the results of your guess. It would have been better if only one person could hear. I played the game a few times but I also really liked just playing with the safe and locking things in the safe. The safe and handcuffs worked well and made me interested to see what the Operation Break Free would be like.
WHAT ADULTS THINK
My son, 8, really liked the safe at first, and was excited to try out the game, but was disappointed. Although the safe and the coins are exciting, there just isn't much to the game itself. After 3 short play sessions with different friends (his friends were also intrigued by the safe and wanted to try it), he hasn't touched it again. The safe is fun. My son likes how it holds the coins and he enjoyed the randomness of what comes out. I like that all the cards fit nicely into the safe.
We played this game a few times but even more then playing the game - my kids (F8, M11) love to put things in the safe and try to open it. They loved the coin mechanism that would dispense different amounts of coins and that you could hear the higher or lower sounds (or police sirens). Their main disappointment was just that the sound was loud enough for the other player to hear which gave away extra information when trying to guess. The game was easy to learn and easy to play. To make it a bit more challenging we played with having the guess what the person had hidden from the other player since both players could hear the sound. This was a fun toy for the kids and they played with it quite a bit. They enjoyed the game part but even more they enjoyed just playing with the safe.
Spy Scan Solve! Safe Breaker is an electronic game that challenges spy skill, memory and luck in order to crack the code and collect golden coins. To start the mission, players pick a card and turn the safe combination to the corresponding number shown. Next, use the fingerprint scanner to test the number. If the light is green, the safe will release some coins. If the light is red, connect the spy listening gear to the safe to hear a top- secret clue to deduce the correct combination code. Clues include mathematical chances and luck elements, allowing for a new experience each round. BEWARE! Players who release police coins will alert the police and must return all their coins to the safe. The spy who collects the five golden coins or two diamond coins first, wins the game. The Safe Breaker is an electronic strategy game for all ages. It is inherently educational through use of deductive reasoning skills during play. The mathematical chances and luck elements allow for a new experience each time. Requires 2-4 players. Note: Play the game in a well-light room to ensure proper functioning of the light sensor.
