Our testers loved driving Elmo and his friends (sold separately) to school, and, that the count turns his head in greeting when the door opens. Unfortunately, the mechanism to turn his head keeps him premanently on the bus - which frustrated at least one tester who would have liked to remove and play with the figure separately. LIke the rest of the line, there is little other functionality on the toy - not even a beeping horn. In this sense it's quite different from most toddler toys these days, and may therefore fail to capture the attention of some children. Nevertheless, it's a great prop for imaginaative play, and going to shcool is a theme young children can relate to, especially after watching older siblings head off.
WHAT THE KIDS SAY
You dont even have to open the door. You just push the button and it opens! I love filling the bus with all elmo's friends and driving them to school!
WHAT ADULTS THINK
The bus was well loved by f3 and f22m! The many different openings allowed them to place the characters in the bus with simplicity. It is too bad there are no pegs for the characters to stand on because they do fall down when you are pushing the bus around. We love the button to open the door and turn the Count's head. This bus was used in conjunction with the sesame street playset and firetruck. A very good quality toy.
This toy attracted my son, but he grew frustrated that the door would not stay open, the count did not come out, and that the bus did not make any noises.
All aboard the Sesame Street School Bus for a fun ride to school! There's room for up to three characters (sold separately), and bus driver Count Von Count turns and greets each passenger as they get on. Included with the bus is a Back-to-School Elmo Figure! Other characters sold separately.
