Our testers loved this refreshingly unique new strategy game. It's strategically captivating, as well as, just plain fun to push the marbles through the board and hear them clunk and rattle around over the wooden storage below. At the outset, we did wonder how well the foam would hold up to repeated stretchings as the marbles are pushed through. But after more than three months of testing, the foam is still doing it's job with no complaints.
The game is played with 49 marbles on a suspended 7 x7 grid. To start the game, the marbles are dumped onto the playing area and allowed to roll randomly into the 49 holes, where they are supported by a foam girdle until pushed through by a player's "stomper". On each turn, a player moves his stomper by pushing an adjacent marble through the hole to take over the spot. Alternately, a player can relocate to a new area by stomping any marble that matches his colour stomper. The last stomper who can still make a move wins. An excellent little game.
WHAT THE KIDS SAY
I liked playing this game. It made you think about which marbles you wanted to knock down. I played with my Mom and mey Dad. I liked winning and adding up my points. I do not know how long the foam will last, before stretching out.
I like stomping the marbles. I like the game because it's not strategy or luck only so anyone will like it. I like that the each round doesn't take forever and it doesn't take long to explain.
What I like about this game is that you may think you are going to win until someone stomps you out!
I really like this game, every time I play I try to learn from my mistakes. I won against my mom, that was a great game! I feel like it`s a little bit like chess, you have to try and guess what the others are going to play and block it!
Stomple is a strategy game in the same mind set as chess or checkers. If you like to play fast pace, sometimes intense strategy games, then this is one for you. My mother and i tended to get a bit competitive while playing and would do everything possible to knock out the other person’s marbles. It’s fun to play and easy to learn because the actual gameplay is simple, it’s the strategy aspect that takes time.
Even though we've had it for 2 months it is still very fun to play. The more people you play with the more fun it i because then you have to plan to get out the other players more. The way that we played is that when you picked your colour for the first round we didn't show our colour so no one could specifically get us. It is a very fun game to play.
Very easy game to learn. The marbles are quite pretty to look at, ajthought the colors light blue and light green are easy to mix up. It takes some thinking and planning ahead not to get caught in a corner. My mom thought for sure she was going to come out on top and be the winner then she got stuck in a corner and I won. Sweet! At first my brother thought he would win if he stomped the most marbles so he ate a long string on his own marbles, ha! he learned quickly after that!
I liked the uniqueness of the game and that it was fun and fast, so we could play it during times like waiting for supper to cook...
WHAT ADULTS THINK
The concept of this game is quite interesting. It is a game of strategy and playes out differently the more people you have participating. We really enjoyed playing and trying not to knock down the "special marbles." The foam is starting to stretch and does not look that durable, compared to everything else included.
Fun game, recommended to all and good for all ages. The first game our family picks on game nights!
Well, this is an interesting game, I can't belive I just lost to my grandchild ( F 8 ) , here I thought I would give her a chance and she beat me! It's fun to play a game where you don't know who is going to win until the last few plays. I am not giving her chances anymore, she doesn't need it I think I do!
This was a fun game and one that I could see playing long term. Each round is quick so no one gets bored. The game has both a strategy component and a luck factor and it's fun to stomp on the marbles!
Fun to play. I enjoyed the strategising part of this game. Also, it is easy to learn and quick to play so its a perfect game for busy families. Pushing the marbles down was also interesting. Nice game.
When you have 2 players it is a little easier, but when there is 3 or 4 together, you are lucky not to stomp yourself in a corner!
Introducing Stomple, the strategic marble stomping game. Outwit your opponents by stomping their marbles before they stomp yours. Outmaneuver by leaving their stomper trapped with no escape. Out stomp the competition and you win. The more you play, the more you learn the strategy behind the stomping.
