This set proved more frustrating than fun for our kid-testers (18-22 months). None of them were able to open or close the dinosaur egg. As well, the trailer was frustratingly tippy, and all parents worried the small parts in the set might pose a choking hazard [we await a returned sample to check this for you]. Besides the physical frustrations of the set, it relies more on imaginative play, than the manipulative play (buttons to push, squeaks to activate, etc) more common for this age group.
WHAT ADULTS THINK
My son (22m) was not able to open the egg on his own, nor was he able to line it up to snap it shut. He would often lean on the car to push it forward and this would knock the little wagon off. The wagon was frustratingly tippy for my son. On a positive note, my son enjoyed playing with the car and loved the characters and having different places to put them.
The only thing my child (18months) is interested in within this set is the jeep. He, and I as a parent, do not understand the purpose of this toy. He can not work the little egg and it always comes apart. I had to take away the figurines since he had a whole one in his mouth which makes it a choking hazard.

The longer we had this toy, the more I realized that it wasn't the greatest. The small parts are easily misplaced and my son had a has time opening and closing the egg when he did have the pieces.
Come back in time with me, Jurassic Jimmy! I’ve seen dinosaurs and cavemen and I’ve even bought some back to the 21st century with me. My good dinosaur friends, Bronty and Tricksy, are here to teach you the wonders of the prehistoric age and along with Stig, the caveman, we’ll be sure to learn lots and have lots of fun!
My motorised truck and trailer can pull the whole set along to see the marvels of the dinosaur age. Tricksy’s dinosaur egg can break open to reveal Tricksy just in time for play time with her best friend, Bronty. We just love to cave paint in our spare time, but we try and stay away from the nasty sabre-tooth tigers that prowl the Jurassic parks!
